Open enrollment

Open Enrollment is just around the corner! Though it begins in October, now is the time to start considering your insurance options for 2026.

 Check your current coverage.

If you’re unsure of your current insurance coverage, log on to MyBenefits.

While there, take a few minutes to review/update your life insurance beneficiaries, contact information, and address.

If you are satisfied with your coverage, you don’t need to do anything during Open Enrollment. Your coverage will continue in 2026.

Please note, the only exception to this is the MoneyPlus flexible spending accounts. You must re-enroll in these each year to maintain your contributions.

 To get started:
  1. Go to peba.sc.gov/oe to learn about what changes you can make for 2026.
  2. Download the 2026 Insurance Summary and Open Enrollment Worksheet to help you plan.

During the month of October, log in to MyBenefits to make your changes and/or re-enroll in MoneyPlus flexible spending accounts.

Deadlines & Effective Dates:

Open enrollment ends October 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Once the deadline has passed, you must wait until next October or until you have a special eligibility situation to make any changes to your coverage. Special eligibility situations occur after qualifying life events, such as getting married, having children, or losing coverage. Insurance changes must be made within 31 days of a qualifying event.

Any changes you make during open enrollment take effect January 1, 2026.
