Mr. Mills,

In the world we live in today, most people are used to receiving complaint after complaint about service and performance of
staff. This is no such correspondence. I want to say thank you and point out how thankful we at Mid Carolina Timber Co.
are for the efforts put forth by Mr. McCaskill and how responsive Mr. Collins has always been when we needed assistance.
The industry needs good people such as these to help correct the actions of the few bad actors whether it be a timber buyer,
logger, or often times a landowner. If we would have gotten lawyers and the sheriff’s office involved in our recent issue, I
feel sure things would have dragged on for years with no initiative from the lawyer or the sheriff’s office. Our justice system
is basically worthless, I have witnessed it firsthand. Conversely, this is a shining example of how simple things can be when
people do their Job. Please recognize both of these men for their work and thank you again for what all of you do.

From Black River Unit Forester Ron Holt regarding all who assisted with dozer course:

I wanted to thank staff that helped make the 2024 Dozer Operator “Catch Up” Course a very successful training event.
Even though we had some rough weather on Wednesday, everyone had great attitudes and worked through the rain and the
following cold that arrived. We had 15 students that were graduates of the 2023 Basic Dozer Operator Course that returned
to gain additional knowledge due to skills being added to the curriculum. From now on, we are planning to only have a week
long Wildland Dozer Operator Academy each year. Plans this coming year are to also include fireline employees that are not
operators such as foresters that will learn how to be an effective swamper.
